I believe one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day. So, how about some positivity on everybodies most depressing day of the week? This is a series of true stories coming from random citizens of this beautiful world as a weekly dose of motivation for a happier day, a happier week and (hopefully) a happier life. Eight one comes from a 18-year-old from Belgium. Her name is Nella Peeters. At the moment she’s studying here in Ghent, Belgium.
‘’Well, I wouldn’t really call these moments of depression, but rather moments I’m feeling down. It generally happens when I have so many things to do, but don’t really want to do any of them. I mean, I am active at gymnastics, so I have trainings on a regular basis. I also play the piano. So, these alone take a lot of my time. In addition, I tend to have a lot of schoolwork, so it sometimes gets pretty overwhelming. That’s why getting through a week can be really hard. Like, impossible. And what is my best solution? Well, I would say organization. I try to plan when am I going to do which of my activities. This way I can also see when I’m free. If I’m free at all. (laughs) And motivate myself with it. Whatever the situation is, I always try to make the best out of it. There’s really no use of being negative and crying about it. It doesn’t get you anywhere.
And when it comes to Mondays, it isn’t that difficult for me to get up in the mornings. I turn on some ‘’happy’’ music. (laughs) Something that gets me going. And drink my tea. And that’s pretty much it. ‘’
